The name Chris Mitchell has been associated with a series of bands, projects, and special events in Nashville since his arrival in 1991. For years, Nashville’s party scene flocked to see what Chris would do next in his band "The Collection", a spectacle that included hot pants, feather boas, choir robes, and a non-stop funky dance groove.

In Strawberry Deluxe, the hot pants have been replaced by platform shoes, and the boas gave way to feathered hair and afros! Looking disconcertingly like Leif Garrett in 1978, Chris’s soaring vocals lead this foursome back to the heyday of the disco era.

Typically, Strawberry Deluxe does three thirty or forty-five minute sets, and can play for up to 2 hours straight. The band usually performs in costume but can leave their wigs at home. Backing vocals can be added, and repertoire can be expanded out of the disco era with plenty of advance notice.
